  • HANDS ON LEARNING || This hands on learning kit is perfect for introducing students to the basics of electricity. This engaging exercise allows them to explore and understand which configurations result in a successful or unsuccessful current path- all while having fun building their kits!
  • EXPLORE A VARIETY OF CIRCUIT CONFIGURATIONS || Learners will be able to build a variety of circuit configurations, including basic, series & parallel circuits. The end goal is to successfully create a current path that lights up the miniature light bulb
  • 13 PIECE KIT || Kit is comprised of 13 components - two D-cell batteries, 120" of insulated wire, knife switch, two bulb holders, two battery holders and five miniature light bulbs. *Required but not included: Wire Cutter & Stripper, and Multimeter or Voltmeter & Ammeter (used for measuring current behaviors)
  • EXPERIMENT GUIDE || The included experiment guide includes instructions for setting up your circuits safely, steps for each experiment, discussion topics and activity questions
  • GREAT FOR REMOTE LEARNING || Great for physics classrooms, as well as for remote learning. An educational and exciting activity for budding engineers

This hands on learning kit is perfect for introducing students to the basics of electricity. Engaging for students, which allows them to explore and understand which configurations result in a successful or unsuccessful current path- all while having fun building their kits! Each kit includes necessary components for building basic, parallel, and series circuits.

A simple and classic exploration in how to make a light bulb illuminate. The rule that students should be able to determine is that there must be a path that goes from the negative side of the battery to the positive side of the battery, and that there should only be one path through the filament of the light bulb. Additional experiments examine the relationships between the circuits & bulbs, the rules in which currents behave within a variety of circuit configurations, & what leads to short circuiting. Experiment Guide includes instructions for setting up your circuits safely, activity steps, discussion topics and follow up questions for students.
